All About Spain

Posted on

Part 1  ‘All about Spain’, well I have been asked to explain a few things about living in Spain.

How difficult is it to move to Spain, what are the legal things I would need to know, is it expensive to live there, what about the language problems.

Well expensive I would say in general not, cars are expensive as are motorcycles if you buy one. Regarding running costs, fuel I find pretty much the same as the UK. Car tax is incredible, I have an eco car and my tax was 18.95€ for the year. You have to an ITV on your car every two years up to the age of ten years. ITV is about 40€ approx. which is good value for a two year period and proves the vehicle is road worthy. In regards to servicing, we have all the main dealers operating in Spain but also have independent garages.

The Mercado Central Market Valencia

Posted on

I visited  The Central Market, known as the Mercado Central Valencia on the 16th April 2019.  This was my first visit to the Central Market and I was blown away by not only the contents, the fruit, the meats, the cheese but by  the building itself.

This building was built between the 1914 and 1928 architect Enrique Viedma Vidal, the design is of Valencian Art Nouveau. This market is one of the biggest in Europe and definitely one of the best, in my opinion. It consists of 8000 square meters on two floors. The dome I found incredible, its a stunning architectural design. The roof is full of wood, steel girders with coloured glass at the rear entrance. The roof has different sections which are sloping in different directions. If you have never been to the Central Market Valencia than you must definitely put it on your bucket list.

Ulanzi Mini Tripod Stand

Posted on

This Ulanzi mini tripod is excellent for three reasons. First you can use it for what it says a microphone stand, but also as a selfie stick.  Its a sturdy made item and for only 18€ its excellent value.

But the reason I bought was it works perfectly with the Zhiyun Smooth 4 as a microphone point for your Rode mike. You do need an extra lead as the access to the mobile is too tight you cannot put a traditional lead in, there is not enough room, but for only 3€ for the splitter lead its not breaking the bank.

From Amazon another great piece of kit for your video and camera shots.

Bought from eBay but I am sure Amazon sell them.

Huawei P20 Lite Review

Please order here

I have had three Huawei mobile phones and I have to say they get better and better. If you want great video and pictures this phone is excellent. The picture quality is excellent with two cameras, I have not seen much better than on my P20 lite. The build quality gets better with each new phone I buy, mine is black and it suits the phone. It has facial recognition and finger print id. My reason for buying was a 100% the video and camera, the pictures I take for Instagram have to be at a certain level and the P20 lite does this every time.
